This is a spectacular fossil cone. It is a gorgeous specimen of Araucaria mirabilis from the Jurassic of Argentina. This fossil cone is fully inflated and displays exquisite detail. This cone is exceptionally "clean and crisp". Each and every cone scale is beautifully preserved and clearly defined. Even the short stem is quite evident. This is one of the most detailed Araucaria cones we have ever seen. It may be possible to get a bigger cone, but probably not a better one.
