This is a very unique specimen of fossil leaves from the Green River Formation of Utah. This specimen was recently acquired from the Richard Busch Collection. Busch was the Preparator/Asst. Curator at the North Museum in Lancaster, PA from 1965-1992. There is a beautiful Sycamore, a large Allophylus, and a rare Flower preserved on the plate. The Sycamore leaf is large and incredibly well preserved - a textbook specimen. This leaf even has a very long petiole intact, which is quite unusual. There is also a nice Allophylus leaf preserved, which also has a long petiole present. And there is even a delicate fossil flower fossilized on the plate - how cool is that! This is an extremely unusual and collectible fossil plant association from the famous Green River Formation.
