This is a very detailed fossil leaf. It is a very large Davidia antique Leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has great shape - the strange reticulation and unique venation are clearly seen. The fabulous color and distinct detail make for a striking display. The beautiful leaf is well showcased on the large plate of shale that also contains a partial leaf. This is a very strange fossil leaf from an unusual location in Montana.
