This is a very displayable fossil seed fern plate from the famous location near St. Clair, Pennsylvania. There are two nice fronds on the plate. The seed ferns are preserved as a thin film of white pyrophyllite on black shale. The ferns display extremely nice natural color and detail. The plant fossils are very nice single fronds, not jumbled masses. This is a very nice pair of Coal-Age plants from this classic site in Pennsylvania.
