Stock Number  FPFPAX21
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Fossil Fern Frond
Age:  Pennsylvanian
Formation:  Llewellyn Formation
Location:  Near St. Clair, Pennsylvania
Size:  Plate is 6 inches tall

This is a distinct fossil plant. It is a nice fossil fern frond from the classic location near St. Clair, Pennsylvania. The fossil is preserved as a natural, thin film of white pyrophyllite on black shale. The detail of this fossil is quite nice, and the plant is nicely displayed on the large plate of shale. There are also nice ferns fossilized on the back side of the plate. This is a very fine example of a fossil fern frond from the Coal Region of Pennsylvania.
