This is a large, displayable fossil seed fern plate from the famous location at St. Clair, Pennsylvania. There are many fronds preserved on the plate. The seed ferns are preserved as a thin film of natural yellow-white pyrophyllite on black shale. The fossils have great detail preserved and are beautifully showcased on the large rock. This is a very displayable slab of Coal-Age plants from this classic site.
