This is an excellent fossil leaf. It is a beautiful Viburnum asperum Leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has a great teardrop shape - the serrations and venation are very clearly seen. The dark brown coloration makes for a striking display. The large leaf quite inflated and is well showcased on the large plate of shale. This is a very fine fossil leaf from an unusual location in Montana.
