Location:  Near St. Clair, Pennsylvania
Size:  Leaf is over 2 inches long

This is a very fine specimen of Neuropteris from the famous Coal Region of Pennsylvania. The large, single seed fern is preserved in both halves of the split pair fossil. The leaf has beautiful, natural coloration preserved. The fossil also exhibits very fine venation, easily seen under magnification. This is a rare specimen of split pair Neuropteris from the Coal Age.
