This is a very nice pair of plants from the now-closed location near St. Clair, Pennsylvania. The fossils are preserved as a thin film of white pyrophyllite on black shale. There are two very nice fern fronds on the plate. The detail of the fossils is quite nice. The plants are nicely displayed on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a very fine example of fossil plants from the Coal Regions of Pennsylvania.
