Stock Number  FPFMO339
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Fossil Seed Fern Branch
Age:  Pennsylvanian
Formation:  Braidwood Formation
Location:  Johnson County, Missouri
Size:  Concretion is 2.5 inches long

Here is a very nice siderite concretion from the Pennsylvanian of Missouri. The nodule contains a distinct branch of an extinct seed fern. Both halves of the concretion are present, which is somewhat unusual. The fossils have great natural color and outstanding contrast. The ferns have very fine detail preserved. This is a very unusual split pair of fossil seed ferns.
