EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - Fabulous Allophylus Pair
Stock Number  FPUAL40
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Allophylus flexifolia Leaf
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Larger leaf is almost 7 inches long!

This is one of the best Green River leaf plates we have ever had.. It is a pair of very large Allophylus flexifolia leaves from the Eocene of Utah. This type of leaf has an asymmetrical base and slightly serrated margins. The general shape of both leaves is easily seen, and the petioles are still tightly attached to the base of the leaves. The leaves have nice natural color and contrast and is well displayed on the large plate of shale. But the coolest feature of this plate is that both leaves have been bug-eaten! And the larger leaf is almost SEVEN INCHES LONG! This is a very collectible plate of large Allophylus leaves - one of the best fossil leaf plates we've ever seen.
