Name:   Celtis mccoshii (Hackberry Leaf) Age:  Eocene Formation:  Green River Formation Location:  Bonanza, Utah Size:  Leaf is 1.7 inches long This is a very nice specimen of Celtis mccoshii, a Hackberry leaf, from the Eocene of Utah. The lance-shaped leaf displays excellent venation, and the serrated margins of the leaf are quite distinct. A small petiole is attached to the leaf. The hackberry leaf has very nice color and contrast. The fossil is well presented on the natural-edged matrix plate. This is a very fine Hackberry leaf from the Green River Formation.
