Excellent Bursera Leaf On Natural Plate
Stock Number  FPUBI01

Name:   Bursera inaequalateral
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Leaf is 2.8" long including petiole

Here is an excellent specimen of Bursera inaequalateral from the Eocene of Utah. This large leaf is oval in shape and exhibits strongly serrated margins in wonderful fashion. It has strong primary venation and weak, alternately arranged secondary venation. The short petiole is still tightly attached to the leaf. The fossil has superb dark color and contrasts nicely with the tannish matrix. It is well positioned on the natural plate of shale. This is a very displayable example of this uncommon leaf from the Green River Shale.
