This is a very unusual plant fossil. It is a Sphagnum (Bog Moss) from the Green River formation of Utah. This plant is very detailed, especially under magnification. The plant has great color and contrasts well with the light colored matrix. This is an extremely uncommon fossil plant that has excellent detail preserved.
