This is a very fine specimen of a branch with cones from the Oligocene of Montana. This fossil cones are still tightly attached to the stalk and exhibit great detail. The ovoid cones display tight;y on the branch. The fossil has wonderful color and contrast and is well presented on the natural plate of matrix. This is an excellent example of many fossil cones from the Oligocene.
