Unusual Mimosites Branch with Many Leaves
Stock Number  FPCOL56
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Mimosites coloradensis
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Douglas Pass, Colorado
Size:  Branch is 2.1 inches long

This is a very fine example of Mimosites coloradensis from the Green River Shale of Colorado. There are many leaves still attached to several branches - it is extremely uncommon to find multiple specimens of Mimosites still attached to the stem. The lance-shaped leaves are well defined - the primary venation of the leaves is easily seen. The fossils have very nice color and contrast and are well presented on the squared plate of shale. This is an excellent specimen of a Mimosites branch from Colorado.
