Size:  Leaf is 5.2" including petiole

Here is a distinct example of Allophylus flexifolia from the Green River Shale. This large leaf is complete and exhibits fine detail. The undulate margins are intact, and the venation of the leaf is easily seen. The long, stout petiole is present and firmly attached to the leaf. The fossil has great natural color and superb contrast. The leaf is well showcased on the natural block of matrix. This is a very displayable specimen of an extremely detailed Allophylus leaf from the Eocene of Utah.
