Here is a fine pair of fern fronds from the Coal Age. This distinct plant is from the Pennsylvanian of Poland. There are two very nice Mariopteris fern fronds on the slab. The fronds exhibit excellent detail. The slender stems are easily seen, and the individual leaves are clearly defined. The fossil plants have a distinct, dark coloration that contrasts wonderfully with the grey shale. This is a very uncommon double specimen of this unique fossil plant from Poland.
