EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - HUGE Ginkgo biloba Leaf
Stock Number  FPGIN318
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Ginkgo biloba Leaf
Age:  Paleocene
Formation:  Sentinnel Butte Formation
Location:  Almont, North Dakota
Size:  Leaf is 4.3 inches long!

Here is a HUGE fossil Ginkgo leaf. This is Ginkgo biloba (formerly G. adiantoides) from the Paleocene of North Dakota. This classic fossil leaf is extremely large (almost four and a half inches long!) and preserves fine detail. The leaf has great form, and the palmate venation of the Ginkgo leaf is wonderfully displayed (difficult to see in photo). This fan-like leaf has beautiful off-white color and an extremely long petiole attached. The leaf is well showcased on the large plate of matrix that also contains other Ginkgo leaves on the back side. This is one of the largest Ginkgo leaves we have ever seen available for sale.
