Name:
Allophylus flexifolia Leaf
Age: Eocene
Formation: Green River Formation
Location: Bonanza, Utah
Size: Leaf is 4 long including petiole
This is an excellent fossil leaf. It is a large Allophylus flexifolia leaf from the Eocene of Utah. This leaf has an asymmetrical base and slightly serrated margins. The body of the leaf is easily seen, and the long petiole is still tightly attached to the base of the leaf. The leaf has very good natural color and contrast and is wonderfully showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a very displayable example of a large Allophylus leaf from the Green River Formation.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
