These are a very uncommon pair of fossil leaves. They are fabulous Planera microphylla Leaves from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. These leaves have great shape - the large serrations and venation are also clearly seen. The natural, dark color makes for a striking display. The beautiful leaves are well showcased on the natural plate of shale. This is a very fine double example of strange leaves from an unusual location in Montana.
