Location:  Glendive, Montana
Size:  Leaf is 2.6 inches long

This is a very distinct fossil leaf. It is a fabulous Fraxinus eocenica (Ash) Leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has great primary and secondary venation, which is very clearly seen. The dark color makes for a striking display. The beautiful leaf is well showcased on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a very fine fossil Ash leaf from an unusual location in Montana.
