Name:   Palmatopteris sp.
Age:  Pennsylvanian
Formation:  Westphalian

Here is an extremely rare plate of Coal Age plants. These distinct plants are from the Pennsylvanian of Poland. There are very nice Palmatopteris sp. lace ferns on the slab. The fronds exhibit excellent detail. The slender stems are easily seen, and the unique, individual leaves are clearly defined. The fossil plants have a nice, dark coloration and contrast wonderfully with the grey shale. This is a very collectible specimen of these unique fossil plants from Poland.
