EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Fossil Lace Ferns
Age:  Pennsylvanian
Formation:  Westphalian
Location:  Upper Silesia, Poland
Size:  Plate is 4.2 inches across

Here is an extremely interesting plate of Coal Age plants. These distinct plants are from the Pennsylvanian of Poland. There are lace ferns on the front, and nice bark on the back side. The fronds exhibit excellent detail. The slender stems are easily seen, and the individual leaves are clearly defined. The fossil plants have a distinct, dark coloration and contrast wonderfully with the grey shale. This is a very displayable specimen of these unique fossil plants from Poland.
