EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Lonchopteris Fern
Age:  Pennsylvanian
Formation:  Westphalian
Location:  Upper Silesia, Poland
Size:  Plate is 3.8 inches across

Here is a very nice plate of Coal Age plants. These distinct plants are from the Pennsylvanian of Poland. There are very nice seed ferns on the slab. The fronds exhibit excellent detail. The thick stems are easily seen, and the individual leaves are clearly defined. The fossil plants have a distinct, dark coloration and contrast wonderfully with the grey shale. This is a very displayable specimen of these classic fossil plants from Poland.
