This is a very rare pair of fossil ferns from an unusual location. It is a nice fossil fern frond double from Wyoming. The unusual feature of this fossil is that it was found in the Lance Creek Formation., However, ferns have never been described from the Lance Creek Formation! The ferns have fine detail and great natural color preserved. The fronds are aesthetically displayed on the large, natural plate of dense shale. This is a very nice double specimen of an undescribed fern from the Cretaceous of Wyoming.
