Location:  Glendive, Montana
Size:  Plate is almost 6 inches across

This is a pair of striking fossil leaves. These are beautiful Ulmus sp. (Elm) Leaves from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. These specimens have a great shape - the strong venation is very clearly seen. The fabulous color makes for a striking display. The large leaves are well showcased on the rounded plate of shale. This is a wonderful Ulnus leaf double from an unusual location in Montana.
