This is a very distinct fossil leaf. It is a very large Davidia antique Leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has great shape - the strange reticulation and unique venation are clearly seen. The fabulous color and excellent detail make for a striking display. The beautiful leaf with long petiole is well showcased on the plate of shale. This is a very strange fossil leaf from an unusual location in Montana.
