This is a very rare fossil leaf. It is a strange Ampelopsis acerifolia Leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has great elongate shape - the venation and unusual serrations are also clearly seen. The natural color makes for a striking display. The beautiful leaf is well showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a very unusual fossil leaf from an unusual location in Montana.
