Multiple Leaf Plate

Formation: Green River Formation
Location: Douglas Pass, Colorado

Here is a very nice plate of fossil leaves from the Green River Formation of Colorado. There are two different leaves on the plate. The multi-lobed leaf on the right of the plate is Macginitiea wyomingensis, a Sycamore Leaf. This leaf has four lobes preserved with most of the tips intact. This Sycamore leaf still has the LONG petiole attached and exhibits fine detail. On the left of the slab is a very detailed Allophylus flexifolia leaf. This leaf also has a long stem preserved. The fossils have great color and contrast and are nicely presented on the semi-rectangular plate of shale. This is a very displayable plate of different fossil leaves from Colorado.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
