Here is a very nice plant fossil. It is a large Macgintea wyomingensis, a Sycamore leaf, from the Green River Formation of Utah. This leaf exhibits wonderful detail. The pointed lobes are beautifully displayed, and the venation is clearly defined. The leaf has great color and contrast and is nicely centered on the large, rectangular plate of shale. This is a very attractive Sycamore leaf from the Eocene.
