Size:  Leaf is 2.5 inches long

This is a wonderful fossil leaf. It is a large Hamamelites inaequalis Leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has very nice shape - the strange venation is clearly seen. The fabulous color and fine detail make for a striking display. The beautiful leaf is well showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a very distinct fossil leaf from an unusual location in Montana.
