Here is a screamin' rare fossil cone from the Eocene of British Colombia. This specimen was recently acquired from a major fossil collection. The fossil cone has great detail preserved - the individual cone scales are very distinct and beautifully displayed, and the overall cone shape is intact and preserved in textbook fashion. The natural dark color and excellent contrast is quite striking. This is a very collectible fossil cone from the Canadian Rockies.
