Name:
Many Different Fossil Leaves
Age: Eocene
Formation: Green River Formation
Location: Bonanza, Utah
Size: Plate is almost 7 inches tall
This is a very rare fossil leaf plate. It is a slab of many different leaves from the Green River Formation of Utah. At the top of the plate is a complete Zelcova nervosa (Keaki Tree) leaf (#2). The venation of the leaf is very clearly defined, and the overall shape is nicely intact. There is also a distinct Lygodium kaulfussii (Climbing Fern) leaf (#4) and a rare Araliophyllum quina leaf (#47) on the plate. There is also an EXTREMELY RARE Fern Frond preserved on the plate. This is the first fern example we have found in this flora! The leaves have excellent color and contrast and are well showcased on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a very unique association of fossil plants from the Green River of Utah.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
