This is a fabulous fossil leaf. It is a beautiful Viburnum asperum Leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has a great teardrop shape - the reticulation and venation are very clearly seen. The fabulous color makes for a striking display. The large leaf is well showcased on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a wonderful fossil leaf from an unusual location in Montana.
