Large Poplar and Zelcova Leaves from Utah
Stock Number  S704072

Name:   Poplar and Zelcova Leaves
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Poplar leaf is 3.7 inches long

This is an extremely distinct fossil plant. It is a
fine leaf of Populus wilmattae, a Poplar, from the Green River Formation of Utah. This heart-shaped leaf has a tight, branching base - the venation of the leaf is quite distinct and easily seen with the naked eye. The LONG petiole is still tightly attached to the base of the leaf. There is also a nice Zelcova nervosa (Keaki Tree) leaf on the plate. This is a very collectible specimen of Poplar and Zelcova leaves from the Eocene.
