Here is an unusual fossil leaf. This is Leguminosites regularis from the Eocene of Utah. Only a handful of this particular species are found each year. This specimen exhibits very fine detail. The weak venation and long petiole are easily seen. The leaf has excellent color and contrast and is almost perfectly centered on the squared plate of shale. This is a very nice example of this rare species of Leguminosites.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
