Pretty Sycamore Leaf with All Five Lobes Intact
Stock Number  FPUPW28
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Macginitiea wyomingensis (Sycamore Leaf)
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Leaf is 4.4 inches long including petiole

This is a very pretty specimen of Macginitiea wyomingensis, a Sycamore leaf, from the Eocene of Utah. It is difficult to obtain Macginitiea leaves that are as complete as this specimen - this leaf is complete with all five lobes present. The venation on this specimen is present, and a long, stout petiole is attached to the leaf. The leaf has good color and contrast and is well centered on a semi-squared block of shale. This is a very fine example of a fossil Sycamore leaf.
