Size:  Concretion is almost 4 inches long

This is a beautiful plant fossil. It is a double fossil Fern concretion from the famous Mazon Creek fauna of Illinois. This specimen was found in a new locality in Grundy County, Illinois. This fern is preserved in a concretionary matrix, giving it excellent color and detail. The striking natural coloration is fully natural, and the minute detail is exquisite. The ferns are wonderfully showcased in the center of the nodule, and both halves of the split pair concretion are present. This is a very collectible plant fossil from a new Mazon Creek locality.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
