This is a fantastic fossil cone. It is a gorgeous specimen of Araucaria mirabilis from the Jurassic of Argentina. This fossil cone is totally inflated and exhibits exquisite detail. The stem attachment point is easily seen, and the individual cone scales are very distinct and beautifully displayed. This is an excellent Araucaria cone from the time of the dinosaurs.
Note: Argentina has now banned the export of all fossils. We will strictly abide by and enforce this law - we will not acquire new fossils from Argentina. However, this fossil was collected and exported prior to this law, and can be sold legally.
