Eocene Branch with Distinct Seed Attached
Stock Number  A901052

Name:   Branch with Seed
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Branch is 4.6 inches long

Here is an excellent specimen of a tree branchfrom the Eocene of Utah. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 1991. It is very unusual to find such a complete branch - there are three twigs that eminate from this branch. This fossil plant has wonderful natural color and contrast. The branch is nicely showcased on the plate of shale that also contains a tightly attached seed pod. This is a great example of a rare fossil tree branch.
