Rare Branch of Athyana balli Leaves
Stock Number  FPUXX11

Name:   Athyana balli
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Plate is 3.1" X 3.1"

This is a very unusual plant fossil. It is a branch of Athyana balli leaves from the Green River Formation of Utah. It is very uncommon to find fossil leaves still attached to the main branch, and even rarer for this species. This specimen has four nice leaves preserved. The leaves have very good detail and great color and contrast. The branch is well positioned on the rectangular slab of shale. This is an excellent example of a rare branch with four Athyana balli leaves articulated.
