Extremely Large Allophylus Leaf from Utah
Stock Number  FPUAL14

Name:   Allophylus flexifolia Leaf
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Bonanza, Utah
Size:  Leaf is 6.7 inches long (without petiole!)

This is a very large fossil leaf. It is a HUGE Allophylus flexifolia from the Eocene of Utah. This extremely large leaf exhibits fine detail. The venation is easily seen, and the somewhat serrated margins are quite evident. And just to give it some character, the leaf is distinctly bug-eaten in spots. The leaf has very good color and contrast and is well centered on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is the largest Allophylus leaf from the Green River Formation that we have ever seen!
