Multiple Leaf Plate

Formation: Green River Formation
Location: Douglas Pass, Colorado
Size: Plate is 6.2" X 10.4"
Here is a large plate of fossil leaves from the Green River Formation of Colorado. There are at four different leaves on the plate. In the center of the slab is an excellent Allophylus flexifolia leaf. This fossil has excellent detail and great color preserved. Directly below the Allophylus is a beautiful Leguminosites lesquereuxiana (Legume) leaf. There is also a fine Zelkova nervosa (Keaki Tree Leaf) in the bottom right corner. All of the leaves are extremely well preserved. The venation of the leaves is quite evident. The fossils have great color and contrast and are nicely presented on the rectangular plate of shale that also contains a HUGE Snout Beetle (Coleoptera). This is a very displayable plate of fossil leaves from the Eocene.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
