EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - LARGE Sycamore
Stock Number  A421053
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Macginitiea wyomingensis (Sycamore Leaf)
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Green River Formation
Location:  Douglas Pass, Colorado
Size:  Leaf is 6.3 inches long

This is a very displayable fossil leaf. It is an extremely large (over six inches long including petiole!) Macginitiea wyomingensis, a Sycamore leaf, from the Eocene of Colorado. This leaf has all five lobes intact. The slightly serrated margins are beautifully displayed, and the venation is clearly defined. A long petiole is still tightly attached to the base of the leaf. The leaf has wonderful dark brown color and incredible natural contrast. The huge fossil leaf is beautifully showcased on the thick, squared block of shale. This is an outstanding presentation of a large Sycamore leaf from Colorado.
