This is a striking specimen of a Rhus nigricans (Sumac) Leaf from the Eocene of Utah. The asymmetrical leaf displays a cuneate base. The margins are extremely dentate, and the venation is quite distinct. The leaf has good color and great detail. The fossil is well positioned on a semi-squared block of matrix. This is a very fine fossil Sumac leaf from Colorado.
