EXTINCTIONS SPECIAL - Double-Sided Fern
Stock Number  F618041
Too Cheap!

Name:   Double-Sided Fern
Age:  Pennsylvanian
Formation:  Braidwood Formation
Location:  Johnson County, Missouri
Size:  Concretion is 2.7 inches wide

This is a beautiful plant fossil. It is a pair of fossil Fern Fronds from Missouri. This specimen was preserved in a concretionary matrix, giving it excellent color and detail. The striking dark coloration is fully natural and the minute details are exquisite. The ferns are wonderfully showcased on BOTH SIDES of the concretion, which is quite unusual. This is a very unusul plant fossil from the Coal Age.
