This is a very unusual plant fossil. It is an Unidentified Moss from Douglas Pass, Colorado. This specimen was recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection. This moss is very unusual because it is from the Eocene Green River Formation. The plant has very good color and detail. This is the only example of this unique plant that we have ever come across. This is a rare find, Eocene moss from the Green River Formation (DeRosear Collection Number 308).
