EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - Metasequoia Branch
Stock Number  FPMME10
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Metasequoia occidentalis Branch
Age:  Oligocene
Formation:  Muddy Creek Formation
Location:  Beaverhead County, Montana
Size:  Plate is 3.5" X 4.4"

This is a very aesthetic specimen of Metasequoia occidentalis from Montana. This specimen is unique in the fact that it shows a multi-branching limb. There are about ten fronds attached to the branch - this is a very rare occurrence. The branch has great color and wonderful contrast. It is well centered on a natural plate of matrix. This is a superb display specimen of a full ''dawn redwood'' branch from the Oligocene.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
