Here is a beautiful example of Allophylus flexifolia from the Green River Shale. This large leaf is complete and exhibits fine detail. The undulate margins are intact and the distinct venation of the leaf is easily seen. The short, stout petiole is intact and attached to the leaf. The fossil has great color and superb contrast. The leaf is well centered on the rectangular block of matrix. This is a wonderful specimen of a large Allophylus leaf from the Eocene of Utah.
